1.       What is XOX Lifestyle eSIM ?

2.       What are the operators available to activate XOX Lifestyle eSIM?

The XOX Lifestyle eSIM connects to trusted local networks in your travel destination, ensuring you stay connected with reliable service, high-speed data, and uninterrupted communication while traveling.

 

3.       Which phones are compatible with the XOX Lifestyle eSIM?

You can see the full list of eSIM-compatible devices below:

 

If your device model is not listed, you can quickly check by going to your device settings. Tap on Connections > SIM Manager, and if you see the option to "Add eSIM," your device likely supports eSIM functionality.

 

4.       I have placed my order. When can I get the QR code?

The QR code will be emailed to you within 2 hours, from 8am to 11pm, Monday to Sunday, including public holidays. To ensure you receive it without any issues, please make sure your email address is correct and check your inbox. If you don’t see it, kindly check your spam or junk folder. We also recommend planning your purchase ahead of time before your travel begins.

 

5.       Do I need to register with my ID or passport before activating the eSIM?

No, registration with your ID or passport is not required before activating the eSIM. Simply purchase the eSIM, receive the QR code, and activate it when you arrive at your travel destination.

 

6.       How do I setup the XOX Lifestyle eSIM package on my device?

 

For iOS Users

Step 1: Connect your device to Wi-Fi only after you arrive at your travel destination (e.g., airport or hotel).

 

Note: Do not activate the eSIM in your home country to avoid starting the usage period too early.

 

Step 2: Check your email inbox for the eSIM QR code. You can screenshot it or save it to your phone’s gallery for easy access during activation.

 

Step 3: Go to “Settings” on your device.

 

Step 4: Click “Mobile Service”.

 

Step 5: Tap “Add eSIM” then tap “Use QR Code” to scan the QR code sent to you by email, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the eSIM activation and installation.

 

 

For Android Users

Step 1: Connect your device to Wi-Fi only after you arrive at your travel destination (e.g., airport or hotel).

 

Note: Do not activate the eSIM in your home country to avoid starting the usage period too early.

 

Step 2: Check your email inbox for the eSIM QR code. You can screenshot it or save it to your phone’s gallery for easy access during activation.

 

Step 3: Go to “Settings” on your device.

 

Step 4: Go to “Mobile Network”.

  

Step 5: Click “Turn on eSIM”.

 

Step 6: Click “Add eSIM”.

In the event that the QR code does not work, please enter the given SMDP+ and activation code that is given to you via the same email. 

 

7.       Can I manually enter the eSIM details if scanning the QR code doesn't work?

Yes, if the QR code doesn’t work, you can manually enter the SMDP+ address and activation code provided in the same email to complete the eSIM installation.

 

8.       What should I do if the connection doesn't start after scanning the QR code and during activation?

If the connection doesn’t start after scanning the QR code and during activation, please do not remove or delete the eSIM from your SIM manager settings. You can try manual setup or contact our customer service support_lifestyle@xox.com.my (email) and (+60) 10 870 8484 (WhatsApp), for further assistance. Please note that removing or deleting the eSIM will not be eligible for a refund or replacement.

 

9.       If I accidentally remove or delete the eSIM, can I ask for a replacement?

Unfortunately, if you accidentally remove or delete the eSIM, we cannot offer a replacement or refund. Please ensure not to remove or delete the eSIM during the usage period to avoid any issues. 10.   In which countries is the XOX Lifestyle eSIM available?

11.   What happens if I turn on the hotspot?

There is a hotspot allowance limit, which, once it is fully utilised, other devices can no longer use the hotspot 

 

12.   What is the speed limit for the eSIM?

The speed depends on the data plan you purchased. For example, if your plan includes 1GB of high-speed data per day, you’ll enjoy full speed until the daily limit is reached. After that, the speed will be reduced based on the Fair Usage Policy (FUP), typically to 128kbps, 256kbps, or 384kbps, depending on your plan. 

 

13.   Is the eSIM data unlimited?

Yes, the eSIM offers unlimited data. However, high-speed data is subject to your daily plan. For example, if your plan includes 1GB of high-speed data per day, you'll enjoy full speed until that limit is reached. After that, your speed will be reduced based on the Fair Usage Policy (FUP), typically to 128kbps, 256kbps, or 384kbps, depending on your plan and location. 

 

14.   Can I use eSIM to make a phone call?

You can make phone calls via the internet only, using apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, etc. The eSIM does not support traditional cellular voice calls.

 

15.   Does the eSIM have an expiry date? 
Yes, the eSIM must be activated within 60 days from the date of purchase. Once expired, there will be no refund or cancellation.

 

16.   When can I activate the eSIM?

For the best experience, it’s recommended to activate your eSIM upon arrival at your travel destination, such as at the airport or hotel. Activating it in your home country will start the usage period early, which may reduce your validity, especially if you’re on a long-haul or delayed flight.

 

17.   Can I request a refund?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds. Once the eSIM is purchased, it is considered activated and ready for use. We appreciate your understanding!

 

18.   Can I delete the registered eSIM from my device?

Once your travel ends or the usage validity expires and you return to your home country, you can choose to remove the eSIM from your SIM manager settings. Please note, do not remove or delete the eSIM during the usage period to avoid service disruption.

 

19.   Can I transfer my registered eSIM to another device?

No, once you scan the QR code, the eSIM will automatically be linked to your device and cannot be transferred to another one.

 

20.   Can I install the plan without an active internet connection?

No. You must be connected to WiFi or an internet connection to install this plan.

 

21.   Can I scan and install the data plan and use it later?

You can install the plan by scanning the QR code before your departure but take note once the QR code is scanned, the days' validity period will commence.

 

Ensure that you connect to an available WiFi network for the installation of the data plan. Be sure to plan your usage according to the number of days the SIM card will remain valid.

 

22.   What should I do if I have already activated the eSIM, but my device cannot connect to the mobile data?

Please restart your device or upgrade the iOS or Android version and retry.
